The 30th Street Blues Band is a New York City-based ensemble that puts a premium on covering both traditional blues and blues inspired rock songs. Christine, with her big, soulful sound, is on vocals. The solid, stylish rhythm section consists of Hank on drums, Mike on bass, and Mark on rhythm guitar and harp. The finishing touch is gifted lefty Joe on lead guitar, who strikes home with every exhilarating note. Together this band brings a heap of heart to the local blues scene.
Their roots reach back to Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, and they have high regard for distinguished contemporary artists like Clapton, Debbie Davies, Susan Tedeschi, Johnny Winter. Each song grooves with undeniable intensity and their love for this music always comes through.
